The peregrine is the fastest creature alive. It also always comes home. There is something to be said for that combination — the velocity and the return, the wildness and the instinct toward something steady.

We kept coming back to this one. Something about the way oud and bergamot exist in the same breath (one ancient, one immediate) that refused to be ordinary.

Bergamot opens it with the kind of clarity that feels like a decision. Labdanum brings the earth back in, grounding without heaviness. And oud does what oud always does, makes everything around it more interesting, more considered. Fir needle holds the middle ground, herbal and clean, the reason these two worlds make sense together.
