Meet the Maker and her Faithful Sidekick

At Urganiqa, we believe in the understated power of small rituals — the ones that bring presence, comfort, and a sense of home.

Mine began with a book: the original quiet object, the first thing that ever taught me to sit still. To be carried somewhere. And to believe there are worlds beyond the one I knew.

Growing up with very little, books felt like a luxury reserved for someone else. Yet every now and then, one would somehow find me, and with it came the feeling that the world seemed full of possibility.

Stories became quiet companions, offering me comfort, wonder and hope. That feeling has never left me: the quiet arrival of something good.

Looking back, I think Urganiqa became my way of sharing that with others.

We often think change arrives in grand gestures. But sometimes it begins with something beautifully ordinary. A candle lit. A line of poetry that stayed. A moment of stillness. A story shared.

Every ritual you create with us is an invitation to pause, take a deeper breath, and return to yourself. Scent has a quiet way of reaching the places words cannot. We hope each of our offerings brings not only fragrance, but also comfort, belonging, and the reminder that even the smallest rituals can gently change the way a day feels.

When you bring Urganiqa home, you help us share the gift of stories with a child through The Storytelling Project. Together, we're placing books into little hands, opening doors to imagination, possibility, and futures they may not yet know are within reach.

A candle may seem like a small thing. So does a story. But sometimes the smallest things are the ones that stay with us the longest.

P.S. This photo was taken at the local markets with my then ten-year-old, proudly carrying one of the last few pieces of handmade botanical cards we created together all those Christmases ago. He sold a handful that day and took his little role very seriously. Fast forward to today, and he's officially taller than me. I'm still trying to process that.
